The Vilhelm Krause Library is on the ground floor of the main College
building occupying the former convent chapel. It is arranged over two
floors with study areas for ninety readers and a separate computing room.
Europe the library houses a unique collection of material which is
designed not only to serve the College community of students and
staff, but also
as a reference resource to those outside the institution undertaking
It holds a stock of some 10,500 books, 160 current periodicals and
a variety of multimedia resources. Any items not within the library's
can be requested through the Inter-Library Loan Service.
On induction, students are given an introduction to and brief tour
of the library and a printed guide to the library and its services.
instruction on how to use the library is given throughout the course
to small seminar groups. The student computing facility within the
library comprises 24 computers, printers, scanners and a seperate
bookable group study room. These can be used for
word processing, accessing specialised software on CD-ROM, e-mail
or accessing a range of internet services via the library's intranet.
